Fair Pricing & Transparency
Fair Pricing & Transparency
We at Coral Strands are very focused on being transparent and offering fair pricing on all our gemstone jewelry.
Take this stunning Watermelon Tourmaline 14K Gold Necklace for example. Ours is meticulously hand-knotted on silk I custom dyed in my studio. Vibrant pink, slight purple, light blue and bright green custom dyed silk compliment the array of equally vibrant colors in this tourmaline. This beauty is finished with a 14K solid gold clasp and our signature 14K gold branded tag. Our price? $800.
The exact same Afghani tourmaline strand, from the same supplier, is currently being sold elsewhere for a whopping $1,800! Yes - $1,000 more for the exact same strand of Afghani tourmaline.
In today's competitive market, small businesses must navigate the delicate balance between profitability and customer trust. Fair pricing is not just an ethical practice but a key to sustainable success. I'm not here for a quick sale. Instead I'd rather hope to earn your trust and respect by being honorable and offering fair pricing.

Artisanal Handcrafted Jewelry
All our handcrafted jewelry is made in Key Largo, Florida on ethically sourced precious metals. We even custom dye our own silk thread in a variety of vibrant colors including rainbow silk thread.
Ethically Soured Precious Metals
Ethically Soured Precious Metals
Ethical sourcing is an integral guiding principle for our business. All our precious metals are ethically sourced from Rio Grande - a leader in the jewelry industry.
All of the gold and silver we handle is sourced from refiners on the London Bullion Market Association (LBMA) list. What does this mean?
The refiners are in good legal standing
They certify and independently audit that all supplies are traceable and conflict-free
We absolutely never use inferior quality 14K gold-plated metals. No matter what a manufacturer says, it will tarnish in a very short period of time.
In contrast to gold plating, gold-filled jewelry is tarnish resistant and can last many years if properly maintained.
The manufacturing process for gold-filled metal is more complex than electroplating.
Unlike gold-plated materials, gold-filled jewelry retains the value of its gold content over time.
All our gold-filled jewelry is made by mechanically bonding a layer of 14-karat gold to a brass core, creating a tarnish-resistant surface where only gold is exposed. The metals are permanently bound together using heat and pressure, then are rolled and drawn to exact specifications.
The industry shorthand notation is "14/20". The first number refers to the karat of the gold and the second is the ratio of karat gold to brass core by weight, which is 5%. This metal cannot be cast.
To ensure the quality of our gold-filled materials, we source 14K gold-filled fabrication metals from leading industry manufacturer LeachGarner.
