    Pricing & How We Work

    Our Hand-Knotted Restoration Services

At our studio, we do not cut corners. Every necklace and bracelet receives comprehensive care:

    • Hand Restringing: We use imported German silk suited to your specific gemstones.
    • Protective Knotting: We knot between pearls or beads to prevent friction and protect against loss if the strand breaks.
    • Professional Finishing: We finish ends with French wire we hand coil in house for a polished, high-end look.
    • Custom-Dyed Silk: When appropriate, we restring on custom-dyed silk we prepare in house to complement the tone of your pearls and gemstones.
    • Safety Inspection: We check for weakened thread, worn clasps, and
      damaged findings before we begin.
    • Solid Gold Upgrade: We can also replace a worn out clasp with a variety of  new clasps or charm connectors. We can also custom make you a brand new 14K or 18K gold clasp.

    We regularly work on:

    • Classic pearl necklace repair and maintenance
    • Gemstone bead strands (turquoise, opal, tourmaline, etc.)
    • Multi-strand and graduated designs
    • Vintage and inherited pieces that need a careful refresh

Locations: Key Largo, Islamorada, Key West & Miami

    Key Largo

Local clients in the Upper Keys can schedule in-person drop-off and pick-up by appointment. We review your strand together, discuss your options, and provide a clear estimate before any work begins.

    Islamorada

    Key West

If you are based in Key West, you can ship your pearls and bead strands to our Key Largo studio. Alternatively, you can arrange a hand-off when you travel up the Keys. We handle your pieces with the same care you expect from a fine-jewelry bench.

    Miami

Many of our Miami clients drive down for a day in the Keys and coordinate their jewelry restringing at the same time. You can drop off your jewelry at the studio by appointment or ship it to us securely. We confirm receipt, timeline, and return method in writing immediately.

    How Our Restringing Process Works

    Consultation & Estimate

Share photos or bring your piece in. We assess the condition, length, and necessary repairs. We recommend silk vs. beading thread, knotting style, and clasp options. You receive a price range before you commit.

    Cleaning & Inspection

We gently clean pearls and beads (when safe for the material). We inspect them for chips, cracks, or sharp drill holes that could cut the thread over time.

    Hand Knotting & Restringing

We restring your strand by hand. We typically place knots between each pearl or bead to reduce friction. This ensures that if the necklace ever breaks, you only lose one bead rather than the whole strand. We use professional-grade materials designed for long wear.

    Finishing & Quality Check

We check clasps and jump rings and replace them if needed. We finish the ends with French wire for durability and inspect the piece under magnification before it leaves the bench.

    Pickup or Secure Return

Local clients collect finished jewelry by appointment. If we ship back to you in Miami, Key West, or elsewhere, we pack your piece carefully with tracking and insurance options.

Every strand is unique. Most bead and pearl repair projects are priced based on:

    Pricing & Turnaround

    Details

    • Length: The total length of the necklace or bracelet (in inches).
    • Knotting: Whether we knot between each pearl or bead.
    • Material: The type of material (e.g., delicate pearls vs. heavier gemstone beads).
    • Hardware: Any clasp upgrades or repairs required.

Pricing starts at $100 per stand. Custom dyed silk starts at $10 per strand. We discuss turnaround time upfront. It depends on our current bench workload and the complexity of your piece. If you have a deadline—such as a wedding, photoshoot, or special event—please let us know. We always do our best to accommodate specific dates.

    Our Standards

    • Fine-jewelry standards: We use professional silk, beading thread, and French wire rather than craft-store materials.

    Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

How much does pearl restringing cost?

Pricing starts at $100 per stand. Custom dyed silk starts at $10 per strand. Costs vary based on the length of the strand and whether it requires knotting between each bead. We provide a firm estimate once we see the piece or photos.

How often should I restring my pearls?

If you wear your pearls often, we recommend restringing them every 2-3 years. If you notice the knots stretching, the thread discoloring, or fraying near the clasp, it is time for a repair.

Can I mail in my jewelry for restringing?

Yes. We accept secure mail-ins from Miami, Key West, and beyond. Please contact us first so we can provide shipping instructions to ensure your jewelry arrives safely.

    Do you repair broken clasps?

Yes. During the restringing process, we can replace broken or worn clasps with new sterling silver or gold options. We can also custom make you a brand new clasp.

Do not let your broken necklaces sit in a drawer. Restore them today.
