Our yellow lemon jade candy necklace is hand-knotted on silk we custom dye in our Key West, Florida studio. This piece measures 18 inches. Each jade bead is meticulously knotted to protect the beads. We hand-coil our French wire and finish with an ethically sourced 14K gold-filled lobster clasp.

The Stone
Lemon jade gets its warm, sunny color from natural mineral inclusions—no dye, no treatment. The soft yellow tone echoes the classic lemon-drop shade of vintage hard candy, though every bead is genuine stone. Because it's a natural stone, expect gentle variation in tone and translucency from bead to bead; that variation is part of what makes each strand one-of-a-kind rather than a uniform, machine-matched set.
The Construction
Each bead is individually hand-knotted on silk, a technique borrowed from traditional pearl-stringing. The knots between beads keep the jade from rubbing against itself, which protects the stone's surface over years of wear and lets the strand fall with a soft, fluid drape rather than sitting stiff. The clasp end is finished with hand-coiled French wire—a small detail that reinforces the point where the silk sees the most wear and tear. The clasp itself is 14K gold-filled, meaning a thick layer of real gold is bonded to the base metal—more durable over time than gold plating, which wears through with regular use.
