Yes! This workshop is explicitly designed to be kid-friendly and family-safe. Because we use a specialized, professional fabric glue method instead of hot irons, there is zero risk of burns, making it perfectly safe, easy, and stress-free for crafters of all ages.

Are all materials provided, and how many patches do I get?

Absolutely! We provide the heavy-duty structured canvas tote bags in an assortment of colors, professional layout tools, and specialized fabric glues. Your ticket includes your choice of up to 3 premium patches from our hand-curated collection to create a beautifully balanced, classic coastal look. If you want to go full maximalist, additional patch upgrades are available at the table starting at $5 each.

Can we book a private location for our group event?

Yes! Our workshops are entirely mobile. We can host your bachelorette party, birthday, or work team-building event at our preferred local partner spaces, or we can bring the entire tote bag customizing setup straight to your Key West vacation rental, home, or corporate venue.

**ALL WORKSHOPS ARE NON-REFUNDABLE. FULL PAYMENT IS DUE AT TIME OF RESERVATION AND WILL NOT BE REFUNDED IF YOU ARE UNABLE TO ATTEND.

Hi, I'm Karen, the founder and maker behind Coral Strands. I’m not technically "certified" in anything—unless you count a black belt in untangling knotted silk cords or a master's degree in keeping fabric glue off my own fingers. But I do know how to create a great experience.

Before trading sugar and butter for silk, gold, and textiles, I spent my creative career building a successful wedding catering business, Sweet Lulu's, featured in Forbes, Martha Stewart, and on the Cooking Channel. Crafting unforgettable, high-end experiences taught me the true value of detail—a principle that now guides every single workshop I host.

Now living and working exclusively in Key West, my workshops leverage my personal, everyday experience in professional design and assembly. I provide premium materials, proven workflows, and patient guidance so you can skip the frustrating steps and jump straight into the joy of creating a stunning piece of functional art.

Their chemicals may cause the metal to tarnish and damage beads.
